On November 28th, Mr. Shi Mingde, the former Chinese ambassador to Germany came to QUST Sino-German International Cooperation Zone (the Sino-German Campus of QUST). He was accompanied by Yang Jun, the chairman of Qingdao Municipal CPPCC Committee, Mu Jundian, the director of Qingdao Foreign Affairs Office, Zhu Tieyi, the director of Sino-German Eco-park Management Committee, and the leaders of Sino-German Campus of QUST.
They visited the Sino-German Campus, listened to the report of the construction of the Laboratory and the preparation of the Sino-German Youth Academy of Sciences. Shi Mingde expressed his appreciation for the fruitful development of the Sino-German Campus. He pointed out that solid progress has been made in the construction of the campus, and the campus should highlight the dual characteristics of China and Germany to provide support for the implementation of the outcomes of the China-Germany dialogue forum in 2020.
Yang Jun fully recognized the progress of the construction of Sino- German Campus. He suggested that the Campus should be built into an “international parlor” for China and Germany, and a new platform for international cooperation in "Belt and Road" that will promote cultural and educational exchanges between Germany and Qingdao and even Shandong Province.
