Between 30th and 31st October, Conference of Collaborative Innovation Centers of Shandong High Education Institutions was held at QUST. Guo Jianlei, deputy director of the Education Department of Shandong Province, Gao Qing, CPC Party Secretary of QUST, Ma Lianxing, president of QUST, Liu Guangye, vice-president of QUST, heads of Education Department, Science and Technology Department, and Finance Department of Shandong, and 35 representatives of Collaborative Innovation Centers (CIC) from 25 colleges attended the conference that was hosted by Guo Jianlei.
Guo Jianlei delivered a speech and emphasized that collaborative innovation should always take the requirement of the economic social development as the basic guidance, the improvement of colleges the goal to purse, the resource integration the important joint, the institutional mechanism reform the motivation, and the experience gathering an vital task.
During the conference, Ma Lianxiang made a welcoming address, and Liu Guangye gave a wonderful report about the construction situation of CIC of QUST. The attending representatives of CICs also gave some reports on the construction situations and existing problems of their centers, etc. After the reports, Wang Yuxuan, an investigator of the Education Science and Culture Office of Finance Department, made an important speech about the construction of CICs, fully recognized what QUST has achieved on the construction of Collaborative Innovation Center of Green Tires and Rubber. Liu Yongbo, director of Scientific Research Office of the Education Department of Shandong, delivered a guidance speech of “How to Build the CICs”. He pointed out that we should deal with these five things carefully: to compact and implement new collaborative innovation tasks; to ascertain the resource contribution, policy support, and responsibilities of the main collaborative units in order to perfect the organizational management and operation mode of CICs; to guarantee high-level, diversifying and reasonably-structured team construction by institutional innovation including evaluation, employment, assessment and remuneration; to improve personnel training quality by innovating its mode; to enhance international exchange and cooperation to improve internationalization level.
Through this conference, CICs have learned from each other, summed up experiences, analyzed problems and studied the solutions, which will advance the development of collaborative innovation. During the meeting, the attending representatives also visited the Collaborative Innovation Center of Green Tires and Rubber of QUST, and spoke highly of both the construction situation of the CIC and the preparations we had done for the conference.
