Recently, Birgitt Riegraf, the president of University of Paderborn (UPB),and Wilante, the director of the Science Research Department of the Nordrhein-Westfalen (NW) Institute of Education and Research, visited QUST. The visitors attended the progressing meeting of constructing Qingdao Sino-German Industrial University, which was jointly

held by QUST and Qingdao Sino-German Dual Education Technology Co., Ltd. at the Sino-German Ecopark. University president Ma Lianxian and the deputy secretary of the QUST CPC Committee Li Qinglingtook part in relevant activities.

Ma Lianxiang expressed warm welcome and sincere gratitude to the delegation and introduced the latest progress of the preparatory work for constructing Qingdao Sino-German Industrial University. He pointed out that University of Paderborn and QUST have very strong cooperation foundations, and he hoped that the two sides will work closely to accelerate the construction of Qingdao Sino-German Industry University.

Birgitt Riegraf expressed his gratitude to the QUSTfor its tremendous efforts and extensive work for the construction of Qingdao Sino-German Industry University. She also sincerely invitedQUST to send a delegation to attend the 50th anniversary of University of Paderborn.

After themeeting, all the participantscame to the construction site of the QUSTSino-German campus and listened to the report byQingdao Sino-German Dual Education Technology Co., Ltd. on the progress and planning of the campus construction.
