On the morning of April 20^th, the "QUST-1" Satellite Naming Ceremony and the Kinetic Energy Conversion Forum were held at the Laoshan Campus of Qingdao University of Science and Technology (QUST). Present at the ceremony were Che Jinghua, deputyParty Secretary of the Qingdao Education Bureau, Yan Jun, chairman of the Zhuhai Orbita Aircraft Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Yang Jianhua, party committee secretary of Gaomi, Yang Jujun,vice governor of Laoshan District, Li Yujun, director of the small and medium-sized enterprises in Weifang, Ma Lianxiang, party secretary and president, Li Qingling, deputy party secretary, Yao Feng, secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and vice president Chen Kezheng and Li Yong of QUST, business representatives and representatives of department and school leaders, and student cadre representatives of QUST.

At the ceremony, Che Jinghua, Ma Lianxiang, Yan Jun, Yang Jianhua, Yang Jujun and Li Yujun unveiled the satellite model. Ma Lianxiang and Yan Jun represented both sides to exchange certificates. The naming and launching of “QUST-1” Satellite is a pioneering action of higher education for serving the kinetic energy conversion of Shandong, and another success of Government-Industry-Education-Researchcooperation. The satellite will be launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in late April 2018.
