Between October 21st and 26th, invited by the chancellor of Paderborn University (UPB), Prof.Dr. Nikolaus Risch, QUST delegation led by president Ma Lianxiang attended the 40th anniversary of Paderborn University (UPB), with members of the director of QUST President Office Li Yong, the director of International Exchange and Cooperation Office Prof. Zhang Yiheng, Dean of CDTF Prof. Wang Shoucheng, and CDTF Prof. Guo Aicheng.

QUST delegation was warmly welcomed by Paderborn Municipal Government and the UPB. The mayor of Paderborn, Mr. Paus, met with the delegation and had conversation with president Ma and president Risch on the Sino-Germany cooperation of running school and various developments in the future.

On the ceremony of the 40th anniversary of UPB, president Ma Liangxiang, as the only representative of foreign universities, addressed on the ceremony and gave the UPB the scroll painting and calligraphy as a gift painted by professors of the Art School of QUST symbolizing the friendly cooperation of QUST and UPB. Presidentof UPB, Prof. Risch, accepted the gift and expressed sincere thanks to president Ma Lianxiang for attending the anniversary with his delegation.

During the period of the anniversary, president Ma Liangxiang met and had conversations with UPB President, Prof. Risch, vice-president Prof. Frick, UPB Chancellor Mr Plato, dean of Mechanical Engineering Department Prof. Schoeppner, and other professors who have been participating in the affairs of CDTF such as Prof. Fels, Prof. Zimmer, Prof. Richard. President Ma Lianxiang also visited Prof. Pahl and his wife. They reviewed the achievement of CDTF, talked about the development prospect of CDTF and expressed thanks for their outstanding contribution to CDTF.

President Ma Liangxing also met with the representatives of several German enterprises like Weidmuller Co. , Mille Co. and Bentler Co. which have supported CDTF. They discussed and communicated profoundly on the internship and employment of the students, the cooperation on integration of industry, education and research and so on.

During the period in German, president Ma Liangxiang visited the CDTF students in the UPB, listened to their report of life and study and gave them encouragement.
