A few days ago, QUST National University Sci& Tech Park, recommended by Qingdao Municipal Science and Technology Commission, was approved as the national “Mass Makerspace” by Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, which makes QUST the only institution of higher education in Qingdao gaining this reputation.

Erenow, the University Sci& Tech Park of QUSTwas approved as National Science and Technology Business Incubator, National Practice Base for University Students Business Startup, National Service Institution for Technology Transfer, and National University Sci& Tech Park.Following the principles of “government boosting, university supporting, overall planning, implementing step by step, and marketizing”, the Park will build a good platform for the entrepreneurship and innovation of all students and faculties and the science and technology innovation of Qingdao.

It is learned that “Mass Makerspace” is a new type of service platform for entrepreneurship and innovation in line with the new round of scientific and technological revolutionand the industry changes, which can meet the demand for “Mass Business Startup and Multitude Innovation”.As the fundamental carrier for early entrepreneurship, it can provideentrepreneurs with the working, cyber, social and resource sharing spaces with low cost, and create an ecological system of the entrepreneurship and innovation along with science and technology business incubators, accelerators and industrial parks.
