On May 18, President Ma Lianxiang attended the Triangle Group 2013 Global Business Summit “Innovation, Cooperation, Excellence and Win-win” at Shangri-La Hotel Shanghai (Pudong) upon the invitation of the Triangle Group. At the summit, President Ma delivered a speech of “To Fulfill Chinese Dream of Rubber Industry through Win-win Cooperation”.
In the speech, Ma Lianxiang gave an introduction of the cooperation between QUST and Triangle Group. He elaborated the solid foundation for fulfilling the Chinese Dream of Rubber Industry from the following four aspects: the rich history of the subject, the strong scientific research abilities, a well-developed innovation platform and sufficient industrial elites. He said that the 21st century is a win-win cooperation century, and the themes of the Summit with the characteristics of the times indicate that the only way to succeed is through cooperation. Although competition is everywhere, it always contains cooperation. We should join hands to realize the healthy and sustainable development of the tire industry. Moreover, he emphasized that we need to attach importance to protecting intellectual property rights, to broaden the horizon of multilateral cooperation, to promote the converting of scientific research achievements into productive force, so as to fulfill the Chinese Dream of Rubber Industry.
Leaders from the Ministry of Commerce, representatives from CCB, HSBC, Caterpillar, Volvo, Sinopec, RCH (Bayer) and other companies on the Fortune 500 list, and more than 500 representatives from over 100 countries attended the summit.
