October 18,an Australian delegation of 7 people visited QUST to discuss exchanges and cooperation, including professor Peter Dowd, executive dean of Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics Institute of the University of Adelaide, Dr Larson, Vice President of Kaplan (Asia) Education. Professor Wang Hao, deputy director of International Exchange and Corporation Office, professor Li Zhenjiang, deputy dean of

Electromechanical Engineering
and professor Hu Naiping, deputy dean of
College
of
Information Science
and Technology attended the meeting.
On behalf of QUST, professor Wang Hao extended a warm welcome to the guests and gave a brief introduction to the history QUST, its doing of combining learning with research and production and the situation of its international exchanges and cooperation. in details.
Professor Dowd said that he has already known the leading subjects and dominant disciplines of QUST, and was especially impressed by its school running style of solidarity, steadiness, diligence and pragmatism, and its outstanding achievements of combination of production, with learning and research. Through this visit, he knew QUST in depth and considered that we have many areas of future exchange and cooperation. Dr. Larson, on behalf of Kaplan (
Asia
) Education, expressed their willingness to provide exchange platform and communication support, and wished the two schools a pleasant cooperation.
After that, professor Li Zhenjiang, and professor Hu Naiping communicated with the Australian guests about the details on contrast of majors, curriculum, school system, student exchanges and research and cooperation, and reached a preliminary agreement
Before the meeting, professor Dowd and the delegation also visited the Laboratories of College of Information Science and Technology and

Electromechanical Engineering
, expressed his appreciation of the research strength and innovation achievements of QUST.
