Recently, the Division of International Cooperation and Exchange, Ministry of Education (MOE), officially authorized QUST the right of admitting international students under Chinese Government Scholarship. Ministry of Education will allocate QUST the scholarship accordingly.

On September 8, the MOE Working Party examined the school’s qualifications for undertaking the education of foreign students under Chinese Government Scholarship, and deemed that QUST is perfectly competent by virtue of its obvious advantages and characteristics, outstanding teaching and management, and good safety facilities and measures. It is worth mentioning that QUST has been approved to admit foreign students under Government Scholarship of Shandong Province in July 2011, and the scholarship has been granted to foreign students at the beginning of this semester.

Internationalization of education has been promoted in QUST by getting the authorization of enrolling students under government scholarships of Shandong Province and MOE. As an important part of school internationalization strategy, foreign student enrollment and education will also enjoy a vigorous development. Meanwhile, students’ international vision has been greatly broadened and mutual understanding and friendship has been enhanced between foreign and Chinese students.
