On the afternoon of October 19^th, a delegation of Dominican Universityfrom USA headed by Vice President Jacob William Bucher, visited Qingdao University of Science and Technology (QUST). Zhang Yuanli, Deputy Secretary of QUST, met with the visiting guests, the associated leaders of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office (IECO) and the School of Communication and Animation (SCA), and representatives of teacher and studentwerealso present.

At the meeting, on behalf of QUST, Zhang Yuanli extended a warm welcome to the American delegation. He briefly introduced the history, campus layout, international affairs andcurrent situation of QUST. He pointed out that QUST is a well-known university of Shandong and China with its distinctive features. Ittook root in Qingdaoand extended to surrounding cities and has the present campus pattern of five campuses in three cities.

Jacob William Bucher expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, his deep impression of the beautiful campus and his positive desire to cooperate in the field of preponderant disciplines. After the meeting, Zhang Yuanli and Jacob William Bucher exchanged souvenirs and associated documents. Then, led by the head of SCA, the delegation visited the laboratories, research institutes and workshops of SCA, watched the exhibition of student works, andhad in-depth communication with the teachers and students in class.
