On September 8^th,a refreshing autumn day, Qingdao University of Science and Technology (QUST)was welcoming the 2018 freshmen from all over the country. Leaders of QUST, Ma Lianxiang, Zhang Yuanli, Zhang Shuhua and heads of associated department visited different colleges to welcome the first-year students.

In order to welcome the freshmen class in a structured manner, QUST had held a coordination meeting and arranged the work for student registration and orientations. After the meeting, the on-campus traffic situation was inspected to guarantee students’ safety. The military training, the school opening ceremony, and other orientation activities will take place after student registration.

In 2018, 10,345 new students from 29 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions were enrolled in QUST, including 8,986 undergraduates, 1,304 postgraduates, and 55 doctoral students.
