Recently, the Eco-Chemical Collaborative Innovation Center led and applied by Qingdao University of Science and Technology (QUST) has been approved for construction by Shandong Province as one of the second batch of collaborative innovation centers for colleges and universities with the fund of 30 million RMB.

Aiming at the critical, basic and common issues in the realm of chemistry and chemical engineering and pharmaceutical industry, focusing on the closed recycling of materials and the cascade utilization of energy, and strengtheningthe fundamental and applied researches on the greenization technology of raw material-technology-products chain of high added-value fine chemicals, the chemical process enhancement and integration technology, the technology of energy saving and emission reduction and three wastes disposal, and the environmental friendly catalytic technology,the Eco-Chemical Collaborative Innovation Centerwill realize the industrialization of some significant scientific and technological achievements with independent intellectual property rights, broad prospect of application and good benefits to environment, society and economy.
