On November 3, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between Qingdao University of Science and Technology and Regensburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
A 16-member delegation from the City of
Regensburg
, headed by Mayor Hans Schaidinger, visited QUST. The delegation was escorted by the Vice-Secretary of Qingdao City government, Mr. Feng Wenqing, and the Deputy director of Qingdao Foreign Affairs Office, Mr. Feng Bin.
The visitors were received by QUST’s Party Secretary Professor Gao Qing, President and Professor Ma Lianxiang, and Vice-President Professor Li Qingling. Relevant staff from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office (IECO) and the Chinese-German Technology Faculty (CDTF) also met the guests. A meeting of welcome was held under the chairmanship of the director of IECO, Professor Jiang Dejie, and the delegation also visited the CDTF laboratories.
In the evening the two universities signed the Cooperation Agreement at
Qingdao
’s Shangri-La Hotel. Regensburg University of Applied Sciences was represented by its Rector, Professor Josef Eckstein. Professor Ma Lianxiang signed for QUST, expressing his wish for further increases in the level of cooperation between the two universities
