The first Institute of “Harmony Culture Study” in China was founded in Qingdao University of Science and Technology (QUST) on the 18th of October, 2009.
“Harmony” is the essence of Confucian thought and the core of Chinese traditional culture.It is also the ideal state pursued by the Chinese nation from ancient times, which conveys to the world Chinese people’s outlook of life. The institute will focus on the exploration, organization, explaination and updating of the traditional “Harmony Culture” and at the same time, conduct theoretical research, sustainable development and contemporary value and significance research of the “Harmony Culture”, which aims at making full use of “Harmony Culture” to promote the construction of harmonious campuses, harmonious enterprises and harmonious society.
