“Research and Practice on the Integration of Chinese and Foreign High-quality Education and Teaching Resources to Create a Distinctive Education System for the Training of Students with International Competitiveness”, an education reform project chaired by Prof. Ma Liangxiang, President of QUST, won second prize in the Sixth National Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award, marking a historic breakthrough of QUST in National Teaching Achievement Award.
The Project aims at enabling graduates to work as engineers with international competitiveness and knowledge of foreign culture and languages. It sums up the theories and experiences of QUST in the process of preparing graduates with international competitiveness by systematically studying the case of Sino-German Technological Institute in QUST jointly supported by the Chinese and German government. The Project forms a model of education with “Introduction→Integration→Innovation” as its guiding principle and graduates with international competitiveness as its objective. The specific ways to achieve these are the following: the emphasis of theory and practice; lecture of a course by pairs of Chinese and German professors; the setting up of a platform of distance education management system; and the attempt to open up new channels for international employment.
This award will further promote research and reform of teaching in QUST and improve the quality of education and teaching of the school.
