2008-2009 Second-semester Opening Ceremony for International Students Held

2008-2009 second-semester opening ceremony for international students was held on March 13th in the conference room of the Building of College of Electromechanical Engineering. Mr. Jiang Dejie, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Office (IECO), and Mr. Wang Hao, the Deputy Director of IECO attended the ceremony.

Mr. Wang Hao warmly welcomed all the international students to QUST and briefly introduced the university to the students. Mr. Wang hao also hoped that they could work hard to better understand Chinese culture and act as friendly messengers between countries.

Teachers from IECO spoke at the meeting to encourage students to work hard in the new semester and to giving them advice on how to learn Chinese. They also emphasized some requirements and issues that students should pay attention to.

International students recalled their experience of studying and living in QUST last semester and hoped that they would have another unforgettably happy semester.

Leaders of International Exchange and Cooperation Office also awarded scholarship and certificates to students who made outstanding performances last semester at the ceremony.
